It's My Time

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!
Sunday wraps it up for me, and I wanted to share something with you.
As some of you know I did an online competition for South Moon Under.
I had gotten far in the competition onto the last process before they choose the final six, but
unforunately to say I didn't make the cut. They competition was fierce and excellent, and at the end of the day they choose what best represented their retail store. But that is how the business works. There will be things you get and things you don't, just like in life. What's important is to look for the positive, and keep on moving forward. If you don't do something for the love of it then why do it all? Because in the end the passion is what keeps the senses going.

But it came to my attention of another online casting going on for the United Colors Of Benetton. So I have entered in another competition, and we will see what happens next. But I am just living day to day, and doing what I love to do. Keep your passion alive. I want to thank you all for your support for my last contest, and would appreciate any of your support for my new contest. All you gotta do is hit the like button, and leave a comment if you want. I will put the link here, and on facebook. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Keep Living The Dream

Lively for Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld chooses Blake Lively for the MADEMOISELLE Collection.

I think the results are astonishing and very beautiful. Lively's beauty and youth is captured so well through this collection, it gives the sophistication, to the new and modern way of the Chanel girl with the classic look still held. I hope you enjoy the new collection and campaign as much as I did. Be sure to check it out at

Fusion Fashion Show 2011 Wrap Up

If some of you remember I blogged about the Fusion Fashion Show 2011. For anyone that doesn't remember, or this is the first time reading my blog the show was about challenging fashion concepts. Making something fresh and new. This was a fashion competition between the two elite fashion schools of FIT and Parsons. This was a great experience for me. I met some great people, and made a great friend with my designer Grace Lee. She is amazing too! Will do great things.

Her looks for her collection challenged the simple aesthetic of classic traditions set before her. Her looks represented something new, modern, and chic, which in my opinion was something that looked a cross of Marc Jacobs and J.Crew. Her pieces were something I would definitely have in my closet to say the least!

Behind the scenes of the fashion show were crazy!!! Everyone rushing around putting clothes out, and calling people out. The biggest part was the rush going out to do my walk with all the people, and flashes going off. But I stuck my ground, and looked straight ahead as if no one was there. I stayed in my zone, and worked it out!!!

The judges of the show were as the follow:

MaryKate Steinmiller - Teen Vogue

David Yassky - Stylist and creator of theaislenewyork.com

Todd Thomas - Designer, Victoria's Secret

Daniel Feld - Designer and Project Runway alum

Peter Davis - Editor-at-large, Paper Magazine

Fashion Fashion Show 2011 is over now, but will forever live in my memory. This will be a great experience remembered by me. Below is some of the pictures I got back from my catwalk and behind the scenes of the show! The quality is not the greatest.
So I will post when I get a better picture back, but for now I will post this. Also I have a video of my walk coming soon too!!!

Keep it fresh!! Thanks for reading.

Moncler F/W 2011

I am so excited to have done my first show in New York City.
The Moncler show was a experience I will never forget.

I was rehearsing  four hours starting Wenesday until Saturday. Then all day until the show until today. This show was a different type of a fashion show it was a show presentation of dancing. The experience was very neat and rewarding. I will be starting some dancing classes soon in the future for sure. I have some exciting things for the future coming up! So stay tuned! I have included a picture of my outfit from the show. I will have a video of the performance soon!

Thank you for your continued support everyone. Happy fashion week!
I will be sure to post some of my favorites from fashion week soon when it is over.

Stay fabulous and fierce!

The Classic Denim

Many generations have worn the classic denim jeans. From Wrangler, Levi, Armani Exchange, American Eagle, Guess, Abercrombie&Fitch, Seven, True Religion, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, and Gap and many more. The jeans were invented in the 1950's by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis. The classic denim was not widely accepted at first. The young people that wore it when it first came out where considered rebels. James Dean started the trend of jeans in his movie Rebel Without A Cause. This started a nation wide trend in the classic denim within the young generation.

By the 1970's the jeans had become more accepted, and put into style for fashion as a casual look. Jeans are a common symbol of America. Overtime jeans have revolutionized through dyeing, rips, type of cuts, materials and colors to represent a diverse market today. There are many styles that are indicated through jeans. Jeans can represent the classic prep, the rocker, rapper, hipster, classic sheek city-goer, cowboy, or wild and spunky personality with bold colors. Jeans have changed and shaped a way of style for many typical americans.

The classic denim helps define who we are, and how we want to be represented. Some might not think that a jean can define so much who we are, but there is so much more that people don't realize what fashion can do. So be sure to stock your closet with the right style to go along with what you love, and how you want to be represented in this time. Below is pictures of different jean styles. Be bold and fashionable at the same time while being yourself. Express yourself.

South Moon Under

As some of you would know I am doing a modeling contest currently.
This contest is chance to particpate in a shoot. The next round is making it to the photo shoot. After the shoot they decide who will be featured in the South Moon Under Campaign. I would be really excited, and honored if I got chosen. This would be a next great step for me in my modeling career. As this opportunity would provide for me a tearsheet. For anyone reading this, and didn't understand a tearsheet is an awesome thing!! it provides something to show that a model can book a job, it adds experience. Experience is a great thing.

I really hope to get this opportunity. The casting for this campaign opportunity ends 2/21/11. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart that has been voting for me. I hope you will continue to do so, and I encourage those who support me as a model to vote! You can vote everday and once a day. I hope I can get everyone's support. Blessings to everybody!! I hope I get to make it through the next round, so I can get to the photo shoot.

Fusion Fashion Show 2011

I can't tell you how excited I am to post this blog!!! I am really excited about landing a spot in the Fusion Fashion Show 2011 as a model.  I was really worried that I wasn't going to get it, and I saw that e-mail for it, and I jumped for joy like no one's buisness!! I was first told about the Fusion Fashion Show through my boyfriend, and decided to go out for it. The more I learned about the show the more excited I got.

When I went to the casting the line was very long. I was very nervous, but needed to put my game face on. I realized that this opportunity is a great thing to be a part of. I wanted to present, and give my very best. For at the end of the day least you know you tried your best.

I am really appreciative, and feel honored for this opportunity, it's a great thing to be a part of this. For those of you who don't know what this fashion show is it's a battle where men's and women's designers from FIT(Fashion Institute of Technology) and Parson's verse each other. They are considered to be the some of the most best fashion schools in America and world. Some big names that have come out of the two schools would be Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Amsale Aberra, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, and Tom Ford to name a few of the greats.

The fashion show is a great way to push the art of designing ideas, and challenge the best and brightest talent of new designers. This will show how the new talent out there pushes the envelope. Also the fashion show is highly supported by the fashion community in New York City. Many notable fashion people in the industry show to cover the show, and be judges for the show to determine which are the best ideas. Some of the judges are Damien Nunes fashion editor of GQ, MaryKate Steinmiller from Teen Vogue, Austin Scarlett of Project Runway fame, Atoosa Rubenstein of Seventeen Magazine & BIG MOMMA PRODUCTIONS, INC., Richie Rich of Heatherette, Sarah Hartshorne of America's Next Top Model, NolĂ© Marin of America's Next Top Model & ELLE Magazine, Zang Toi, Cynthia Rowley, Robert Verdi, and so much more!!

I look forward to the days I go out on the runway, and give it my absolute soul and heart and just live in that moment. I feel clothes are a moment we create through time. They express who we are at the current time and state of being. I want to bring my best foot forward to the table. I will just relax but within a plan still in mind, and just let the fashion flow within in me. The best results are the ones when we least expect them. I am meeting with my designer for some fittings tomorrow! Can't wait! And sorry can't say anything about the designs until the big show is over! Wish me luck!

This is when I met Austin Scarlett of Project Runway! Yes I look a mess, because I was dancing at the party like a maniac! lol

To My Fellow Models

Hey everyone as the holidays close, and the new year sets in, I wanted to write about some motivation. As for the career of fashion calls for a lot of it. For models we must keep strong and determined. I have had some fellow model friends be really down on themselves, because of big things that fell through. Yet I believe they have so much potential still.

Yes granted I understand the sadness that comes from something not working out, but does that mean to stop loving something you do? I think we should all keep on! Just, because we might not have the right body, height, or weight etc. Doesn't mean you should give up!!! Keep on going!! What separates the good models from the icons would be perseverance.

Find what's missing, and work hard at it. If you really love something, and would like to do, why not give it your all? At least at the end you know you tried your best, either success or no success. But if you don't make it as a model that doesn't mean other great things are in store for you.

All models don't model forever! Models move onto do other great things like acting, starting an agency, being an agent, fashion line, jewlery lines, other things etc. If you love fashion there are other paths out there except modeling, or pursue other passions. What I will end on is my favorite fashion icon, Kate Moss, this woman has worked it, made herself the exception to the rule. She stands at 5"6 yet has been in numerous campaigns, covers, runways, and created her own clothing line and so much more. If anyone knows modeling knows most models have to be 5"8 or above to be even considered in the female department. If this girl can work it out, and be hugely successful! You can too!! Just don't give up, and make yourself the exception to the rule. Keep on working on your dreams.

Memories of 2010

At exactly 12am of January 1, 2011 we all cheered to a year of accomplishments, and making it through the struggles. I have to say I feel very blessed to be where I am now. A lot has happened to show me the person that was inside of me. As 2010 leaves us, and the new begins I look forward to new memories and remember the old. For everything in between has made me a better person and man.

Reflecting on the year I had some great experiences! I shot with AJRImaging! What great people AJ and Scott are they really help models become better. From my experiences with them I was able to harness my talent better. I learned about helpful things for fashion and life. I am very grateful I got to work with them. They started to create images of where I want my modeling to be and go. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!! You really helped me become a better model and person.

Then next was Sean P Watters! What a character Sean is! He is so funny, and just makes you feel comfortable and like yourself while shooting. The results showed, because the pictures turned out beautifully. I had a great time shooting with Sean. Thanks again Sean, and special thanks to my fellow photographer friend, Ethan James, for introducing us!

Last but not leastly is Jon Whitney! What a great guy he was! He was very nice, respectable, and professional. Made me feel comfortable right away when we were shooting. The images turned out great also.

I am very proud of my 2010 year. A lot has happened, and helped my grow as a model and person. I have worked and met with some great people. I also look forward to the next big plans I have in store. I will be shooting with new photographers, and working very hard on my body. I want to push a new image for myself. Also I would like to take this time to thank everyone that has supported me, and been there for me. Thank you... really thank you! I appreciate everyones support from the bottom of my heart. Also I will be in the Fusion Fashion Show, which will be a great opportunity, it will create some great coverage for me in the fashion industry. Also on a different subject I am going to be working on writing an album. Music is another great love of mine. Below are some of my favorite images from this year. I love all the pictures I have created, but these are just some of my favorites. I wish everyone great success in their new year of 2011.
